Studio 3

Showcase Cinema de Lux in Foxborough

Showcase Foxborough

A trip to the movies has evolved beyond popcorn and soda, as theaters now offer a diverse range of dining options that enhance the cinematic experience. Recently, my family and I embarked on a culinary adventure at Studio 3, located within the Showcase Cinema de Lux in Foxborough. Our evening, while enjoyable overall, was not without its share of quirks and surprises.

Showcase Cinema de Lux in Foxborough offers dining in the theaters but you have to be over 21. So we decided to check out Studio 3 which is located in the lobby of Showcase Cinema de Lux in Foxborough.

A Gluten-Free Gamble

Upon entering Studio 3, we were greeted by the stylish ambiance and a sense of excitement. The concept of enjoying a delicious meal before watching a movie was appealing. However, as someone with dietary restrictions, she was keen to explore gluten-free options. Unfortunately, it quickly became evident that not all staff members were well-versed in the intricacies of the menu.

When inquiring about gluten-free options, we encountered a slight hurdle as the person behind the bar seemed unsure about which foods were safe for those with gluten sensitivities. This lack of awareness was a bit disappointing, but we decided to proceed with caution and make our selections based on what we knew to be gluten-free.

We wanted a Burger with no bun - a generally safe bet when eating out.

The Missing Burger

To our surprise, the initial excitement was dampened when we were informed that burgers were not available that day. This unforeseen twist left my daughter a bit disheartened, as she had been eagerly anticipating this particular dish. The absence of a seemingly simple option like a burger underscored the unpredictability of dining experiences.

Decision to Wait

When my daughter realized the desired burger was not available, she decided to postpone her culinary quest until we got into the movie theater. The idea of pairing a great movie with a snack was appealing to her, and she explored the concessions stand within the cinema. She rather has some popcorn with her Barbie movie.

Conclusion

Our experience at Studio 3 within Showcase Cinema de Lux in Foxborough was a blend of excitement and minor letdowns. While the concept of dining before watching a movie remains novel and entertaining, certain aspects left us wanting more. The lack of gluten-free awareness among staff members was disappointing and highlighted the importance of accommodating dietary needs in modern dining establishments.
