Bazille at Nordstrom (Natick Mall)

Gluten-Free Pizza Review

Looking for a break from the typical mall food court scene, we recently visited Bazille in Nordstrom at the Natick Mall. Located conveniently on the second floor near the elevators, it offered a perfect pitstop for a late lunch.

The restaurant itself was clean and quiet, a welcome change from the usual mall chaos. It boasted a variety of options, including gluten-free choices, which was ideal for my daughter with a gluten allergy.

Gluten-Free Pizza: Crust Shines, Sauce Disappoints

My daughter opted for the gluten-free Margherita pizza. We informed the waitress about her allergy, and she took note of it. Service was prompt, and the food arrived quickly.

The pizza's crust received high marks for being delicious. However, a lack of sauce rendered it dry. This unfortunately meant she couldn't finish the pizza and had no desire for leftovers.

Price Point: Consider the Value

While the overall experience was positive, the cost was a factor. At $21.75, the gluten-free pizza was quite expensive, especially considering it was a single serving.

Final Verdict: Nice Ambiance, Room for Improvement on Pizza

Bazille offers a peaceful and clean environment for a relaxing lunch or dinner at the Natick Mall. While the service was good, the gluten-free pizza could be improved with a more generous amount of sauce. Be sure to factor in the price point when making your decision.

About

This series of posts will cover some tips and tricks that I have learned about my twelve-year-old daughter's gluten-free lifestyle in the Boston area. Gluten-free eating can be challenging in any big city, but especially in Boston due to the high number of restaurants and availability of options. I've been learning what I can to make sure my daughter can still enjoy eating out, and I want to share what I've learned so that other families in the same situation can benefit.
