Electric Company Phone Scam
Just don't give any personal information
In the event that you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from your electric company, beware! This is likely a scam, so please be careful.
There is a possibility that the caller could be claiming you owe money and trying to fool you into giving them information. Do not divulge any information to them as what they get could be used against you in another scam.
Scam Call
Last week, I got this call that I immediately knew was a scam. I gave them a fake credit card number (edited out) so I could keep him on the line as long as possible.
